It's been awhile! Since becoming a mother and working full time as well as my company, blogging has taken a back seat and this year I am going to try to make it a priority every few months. It takes up a lot of time and honestly don't know if you guys look at them. When I started my company, I blogged as much as I could because I wanted to get as much as my work out there for people to see. Now I blog for more of the personal side of a session. To show what a session has to offer and also a little bit of what you get out a family session. 

Let me introduce you to The Stehura's. I used to work with mom 6 years ago and now I get to be a part of a memory she will cherish. They got a new puppy at the end of last year so she wanted to not only get photos of the puppy but some of the family with the puppy. Why not use the puppy for an excuse to get family photos. Why are golden doodles so cute?

She sent me a few inspirational shots she was leaning towards. I love when clients do that. It allows me to see what your expecting from a session. I scouted out this area and she loved it. It was cold, but how often do you see snow AND the sun in northeast Ohio?

I can't even believe I have found the time to blog during this CRAZY, beautiful fall season but sometimes I have to force myself to blog and in the end I am so happy I did. 

Normally, this time of year I photograph a lot at the lake because the colors are hard to pass up. But this year, I scouted out a few areas that are 2 minutes from my home (a win). I messaged Shawna the morning of the session and asked if she wanted to change her location. She was so supportive and said yes! Once they arrived, the kids were asking her,"Where are we? This place is weird."

Needless to say, we not only had a BLAST but they trusted me. I hope I came through with the end result!!!! 

It seems like as time passes, I forget that blogging was once a thing I enjoyed. The ability to share all your favorite images of a session and write a little bit of what is one my mind. So while I have you all here, let's talk about sunflowers and light. Every year, I have an over abundance of people who want sessions in a sunflower field. These fields are tricky.
                 1. Sunflower's don't stand for very long. You only have so much time from when they bloom to when they fall.                            
                 2. There is only certain times a day that you can photograph in a sunflower field (dawn or dusk).

With that being said, when I can schedule a time and date for someone in a sunflower field and it works out, I fall in love with it. 

Now let's talk light. As a photographer I would say light is our biggest challenge and will forever be. When I first started my business, I thought you needed sun, sun, sun. Boy was I wrong. I was in session number FOUR before I realized that the sun was my friend and not my friend all at the same time. It wasn't until year 2 that I full got a hold of how to work the sun in my favor. 

Enough about photography knowledge, let me share this sweet session and one of my favorite's this summer. I have been photographing these girls for years and each year, I smile even bigger and laugh even harder. The bond they have is simply amazing. I feel like this whole session speaks for itself.

Hello everyone! I can't believe it's almost the middle of October and fall is starting to make its debut in temperature and color. YAY!

​I would say fall is my all around favorite time to photograph families. Especially this adorable one who has grown by one since I last photographed them.

It's been a little while.

​The reasons I've been neglecting the blog are long and boring and have mostly to do with a certain baby girl... so I'll spare you all the details. Soaking in all these cuddles :)

But I'm back! Gianna's is ONE! Where has the time gone? Time is a thief. This whole shoot was full of smiles, lemon bath's, "uh-oh's" and not liking the feel of grass on your feet.  It's sessions like this one that make me so grateful to do what I do. Brought mama's vision's to life.

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY DREW!

Lets start by saying it's an adjustment having a baby, but it's an even bigger adjustment working with a brand new baby. I have been working on this blog for the last week and each time, something else is more important, like rocking her to sleep in my arms. 

Anyhow, I'm so beyond excited for one of my best friends to get to experience this sudden, indescribable love.

I have been busy getting ready for our newest addition and felt like this whole session needed it's own blog. It was freezing and Taylor wasn't feeling her best but you couldn't even tell? How beautiful is this whole session?

Let me start by saying I cannot believe henry is ONE! Feels like yesterday I was photographing mom pregnant with him! We had to post pone this shoot once because of weather (what else is new). Anyhow, I am glad we did because the second time it was warm, but also windy! You will see a little of that through the blog.  I try to embrace wind.

​Loved getting to incorporate mom and dad! This may be the last shoot they do as a family of three. Henry is going to be a big brother soon! How cute are they? 

Now, for the fun part :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HENRY! :)

After postponing two times, we finally got Jeremy & Melissa's shoot in. The thing with maternity photography, you can't keep postpone because you never know when the baby is going to come. We wanted snow, but instead we got 47 degree weather and rain that in the end sort of looked like snow. Oh well, we tried :)

We started and ended at 28 minutes and still somewhat dry. Despite it all, we got it in and it turned out adorable! Love getting to meet a new couple and see them before they become a beautiful family of three. Can't wait to meet this little guy :)

I was so excited to share more of this adorable shoot. As photographers, you don't get to photograph in snow, let alone snow and a beautiful sunset. This night was something out of a magazine the way the sun shined through the trees. 

It was a little cold but Landon made it work. Model status, wouldn't you say?

The last time I photographed them their was only Willow and Antonio, now there is Giada and Lyla. I couldn't help but share a little of the dysfunctional sections of a photo shoot.

​These four had me cracking up the whole time. Pillow fight and kissing the whole time.

Good evening!

This is my busiest time of the year and quit frankly haven't had time to even wash my hair. But after my engagement shoot tonight I thought it was a good time to share this adorable shoot. I'm so glad the weather worked out in our favor. 

I have known Lauren for as long as I can remember. The best part about this whole shoot is:

1. They don't know what they are having. How brave and AMAZING is that? AHHH, can't wait to see what they have!

2. This whole shoot was on their property that they just bought and hope to build on one day with their growing family.

I loved being a part of this whole shoot. Hope you enjoy it as much as me.

Like I say for every shoot and I am going to continue too because it blows my mind that these kids grow so fast! Cannot believe Jaxson is ONE! I feel like it was just last week that I photographed him as a newborn and now here I am capturing the cutest little man as he turns one. All he wanted to do was run around, and have his mom, aunt and grandma sing to him.

Oh and we played the drums with our cake while realizing that our whole hand was BLUE after!

He made turning one look FUN if you ask me :)

I have been kicking myself in the butt for not blogging lately but I have been so busy with school starting back up again and trying to plan my own wedding at the same time (9DAYS!). However, I made time after school today to blog all about Joey & Kyle's Intimate Wedding with their close family and friends. The whole day was simply amazing! 

It all begin with their first look. I got to capture the moment before, during and after. The reactions say it all! {pinch me}

After the first look, we slipped away for a few photos of the soon to be husband and wife. The love poured out of them! Cound't wait for their ceremony.

Owen joined in on the fun right before Mommy & Daddy said I DO!

NOW, LET'S GET MARRIED! These two wrote their own vows. Not a dry eye in the place. I just felt the love.

Who doesn't love a good gold hour kiss? Congratulations Joey & Kyle. I couldn't have chosen a more perfect day for you two surrounded by the most important people in you three's lives! (muah)

Good evening everyone!

I could have blogged every picture from this shoot but I refrained myself from doing so. Each one kept getting better. We had this shoot scheduled for the week prior but ended up getting rain that day. After about a week of rain, we were able to get these in. Let me introduce Jeff & Megan. They are expecting their first little boy next month and I couldn't think of any two more deserving of this.

​I can't wait to watch your love grow for each other as well as that little boy.

& then we ended the night at Lake Milton with what we were hoping was going to be the most gorgeous sunset. We made it work.
