Proposal // AJ & Kayla

I guess I get to add photographing a proposal to the resume. Last Saturday was one of my best friend's birthday. As Saturday approached, I got a secret message from AJ.

"I was wondering if u could take some pics of me and Kayla but don't let Kay it's my idea.

"I think they have a pond out back."  ​He added.

My first thought was, is he going to propose? Not jumping to conclusions, I said,

"I would love too!"

"Don't tell Kay, just in case I wouldn't tell anybody."  He replied back.

Of course my lips were sealed with excitement! Then, I got a call Saturday morning with the confirmation that it was in fact a proposal. I shouted and squealed and don't remember what came out of my mouth next. My main concern was how am I going to show up at the winery with my camera without any suspicion?
​When we got there, I made up some story on our we were here a couple months ago for Thomas's 10 year reunion and I had wished for my camera to take pictures. Kayla ate it up and said, 

"Yay, you can take a nice picture of AJ & I outside."

Little did she know that in about 20 minutes, her whole world would turn upside down. I smiled and said the sunset was to die for here. We all walked outside, took a group shot, and then down to the pond area where it was golden hour. Can you guess what happened next?

Thank you so much for having me be a part of such a special moment in your lives. I couldn't be happier for the two of you from the bottom of my heart. You two inspire us all to keep going and I can't wait to watch your next chapter in your adorable love story.
